Did you get a new Visa Credit Card recently? Don’t Miss This ₹750 Welcome Offer

If you’ve recently received a new Visa credit card in India, there’s a simple welcome offer worth checking before you start using the card regularly.

Visa is currently running a Card Issuance Campaign under which eligible new Visa consumer credit cardholders can receive vouchers worth up to ₹750 after making a qualifying first transaction. The campaign is currently scheduled to run from 7 February 2026 to 31 October 2026, or until the available voucher stock runs out, whichever comes first.

How does the Visa welcome offer work?

The process is fairly straightforward:

Get a new eligible Visa credit card → make a transaction of ₹300 or more → wait for the transaction to become eligible → claim your voucher.

The important point is that it isn’t necessarily the first swipe that has to be ₹300. Visa’s terms specify at least one payment transaction of ₹300 or more in a single receipt, excluding cash withdrawals. The transaction can be online or at a merchant, but it needs to be processed on VisaNet during the campaign period.

How much can you get?

The voucher value depends on the Visa variant attached to your new card:

Visa variantVoucher
Visa Platinum₹250
Visa Signature₹500
Visa Infinite₹750
Visa Rewards*₹300

*Visa Rewards cards with BIN 431581 are excluded from the campaign.

So if your new card is a Visa Infinite, the headline benefit is a ₹750 voucher.

For example, the Visa Infinite cards shown in our creative—including cards such as the HDFC Bank Infinia and HSBC Live+ shown above—can potentially fall into the ₹750 category if the specific card is newly issued, is an eligible Visa consumer credit card, and the transaction meets Visa’s campaign conditions. The benefit is determined by the Visa variant and campaign eligibility, not simply by the bank or card name.

Where can you use the voucher?

Visa’s current campaign terms list Amazon Pay, Swiggy, Zomato and Flipkart as participating merchants, subject to availability. Visa also reserves the right to provide an alternative participating-merchant voucher in certain circumstances.

That makes the offer fairly practical: you’re not getting a complicated points reward that requires a minimum redemption threshold. You’re getting a merchant voucher that can be used according to the relevant merchant’s terms.

The important catch: ₹300 is the minimum transaction

You don’t need to spend thousands just to unlock this particular offer.

The official terms require one transaction of at least ₹300 in a single receipt.

However, there’s an important distinction:

The ₹300 is the qualifying transaction amount—not a ₹300 fee or cost to participate.

If you were already going to spend ₹300 or more on something you genuinely need, the voucher can be a nice incremental benefit.

But I wouldn’t recommend making an unnecessary ₹300 purchase solely to chase a ₹250 or ₹300 voucher. And if you have a Visa Infinite card, spending ₹300 to potentially receive ₹750 is considerably more attractive—provided the transaction qualifies.

Don’t forget the VisaNet condition

This is one of the less obvious parts of the offer.

Visa’s terms state that the eligible transaction needs to be processed on VisaNet. So simply seeing the Visa logo on your physical card isn’t, by itself, a guarantee that every possible transaction will qualify.

This is particularly relevant when you’re choosing between payment routes, wallets, intermediaries or other payment mechanisms.

For maximum simplicity, I’d use the new Visa card directly for a normal ₹300+ purchase at a merchant or online checkout.

When can you claim the voucher?

Don’t expect the voucher immediately after making the transaction.

Visa says the voucher can be claimed from five days after the qualifying transaction, and it must be claimed no later than 95 days after the eligible transaction.

The process is:

  1. Go to Visa’s welcome-offer page.
  2. Log in through the campaign link.
  3. Verify your card details and email address.
  4. Claim the voucher.
  5. Redeem it through the relevant merchant platform.

Visa’s official page currently shows the offer as valid until 31 October 2026.

There are a few more caveats

This isn’t an unlimited cashback offer.

Visa’s terms state that:

  • Only new eligible Visa consumer credit cards qualify.
  • Business/commercial/corporate cards are not generally part of the consumer credit-card offer.
  • Only one voucher can be claimed per eligible card during the campaign.
  • Only one voucher can be issued to one natural person.
  • Vouchers are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable.
  • Returns, refunds or cancellations can disqualify the qualifying transaction.
  • The campaign is subject to voucher stock availability.
  • Visa can modify, suspend or terminate the campaign under its terms.

There’s also a redemption deadline: once claimed, a voucher generally needs to be redeemed on the relevant participating merchant platform within 90 days of the claim, although individual merchant terms can differ.

Is it actually worth doing?

Yes—if you’re already planning to use your new card.

The economics are particularly interesting for Visa Infinite cards:

₹300 qualifying transaction → up to ₹750 voucher

That’s a potentially strong return on a transaction you were going to make anyway.

For Visa Platinum, however, the reward is ₹250, so I’d look at it differently. If you’re spending ₹300 on something you need, great. But don’t manufacture spending simply because there’s a voucher attached.

And remember: this is a Visa campaign benefit, not necessarily the card issuer’s own welcome offer.

Your bank may separately offer cashback, reward points, milestone benefits, fee waivers or other joining benefits. The Visa voucher can potentially sit alongside those benefits, subject to the respective terms.

Bottom line

If you have recently received a new Visa credit card, this is one of those offers that’s easy to overlook because the reward doesn’t necessarily come automatically.

Make sure you:

1. Check that your card is eligible.
2. Make one qualifying ₹300+ payment.
3. Wait at least five days.
4. Register/claim through Visa’s official offer page.
5. Redeem the voucher before it expires.

And if you’ve just received a Visa Infinite card, the potential ₹750 voucher makes this especially worth checking.

One final reminder: don’t apply for or spend on a credit card solely for this ₹750 offer. The value of a credit card should ultimately come from its overall rewards, fees, benefits, acceptance and your spending pattern—not from a one-time welcome voucher.

Offer details checked against Visa India’s published 2026 campaign terms and welcome-offer page. Terms, eligibility and voucher availability can change, so check the official Visa page before making the qualifying transaction.
